Yeah, the creepy rampant homophobia and players literally calling for the real life death or torture of random people who make the silly decision to launch denial of service attacks against a video game was getting a bit of hand :(

Like, internet spaceships are serious business - but I really don't want to see another human being killed or tortured over being silly enough to purchase some random time on a botnet and DDoS a video game.

It helps to use this thing called a "router" which probably comes equipped with a "firewall" that makes the concept of launching a organized DDOS or other attack against a single internet user behind NAT a bit, well, batpoop silly to even say out loud :P

It's generally based on difficulty, and the red and yellow cores are a bit stronger than the green ones. All of them requiring more skill than your average DDoS kiddie can muster.

You can scrub the traffic through a router farm dedicated to doing just that, using complex algorithms to mostly separate the bad and drop it while still sending the good on it's way.
